About the Founder

Carly M. Smith received her degree in art history and Spanish from Northern Arizona University. She decided to pursue a career in the arts when she studied Spanish and art history at El Universidad del Pais Vasco in San Sebastian, Spain. After receiving her degree, Carly was awarded a job at one of the leading art consulting firms in the world in San Diego, California. It was here that she worked on some of the most prestigious art collections in the field, including: The Four Seasons San Francisco; The Ritz Carlton in Washington, D.C., New York, Boston and Bachelor Gulch; The Westin St. Francis San Francisco, and Caesars Palace Las Vegas. Carly was the lead designer of the following projects: The Four Seasons Saudi Arabia; Boca Raton Beach Club; The Berkeley Hotel London; The Barbizon Hotel New York; Hollywood Casino Louisiana; and Disney Dolphin & Swan Resort Florida, to name a few. When she resigned to open a business of her own in the Austin area, she was the Senior Projects Manager.

In 2002, upon relocating to the Austin, Texas area, Carly founded C. Smith Fine Art Advisory, LLC. Drawing on her years of experience in the industry, established relationships with clients, artists and vendors, and a positive reputation, the opening of the company was highly successful. Throughout the past two years, the firm has worked on projects ranging from high-end hotels to investment quality private collections. In 2003, Rebecca Gregerson joined the firm, bringing to the table more than eight years of experience in the field. As the C. Smith team continues to grow, Carly and Rebecca are constantly traveling across the country meeting with clients, working on multiple projects, conducting research, and scouting new artistic talent.
